Refund & Cancellation Policy

Mechy School runs project-based cohorts. Each course is a fixed group that starts and finishes together, and enrollment is limited to 6 students per section. Because a reserved seat can't be resold once a cohort begins, our refund windows are tied to the start date.

## Refunds before a course begins
More than 14 days before the first session — full refund, no questions asked. Email us and we'll process it within 5 business days.
7 to 14 days before the first session — 50% refund. At this point we've usually turned away other families and committed to materials and platform costs for your student's seat.
Fewer than 7 days before the first session — no refund. We can transfer your enrollment to a future cohort once, subject to availability, if you let us know before the first session.
## Refunds after a course begins
Once the first session has taken place, tuition is non-refundable. Each seat carries fixed per-student costs — software licenses, generation credits, and a reserved workstation — that we incur whether or not a student attends.
If your student needs to withdraw for a medical or family emergency, contact us. We'll work with you in good faith, which may include a partial credit toward a future cohort.
## Missed sessions
We don't offer refunds or credits for missed sessions.
Mechy courses build toward a single finished project, and each session depends on the one before it. If your student misses a class, email us and we'll tell you what they missed and what they'll need to catch up on. When schedules allow, we'll try to help them catch up during the following session — but we can't guarantee individual make-up time.
If your student expects to miss more than two of the six sessions, we'd encourage you to enroll in a later cohort instead.
## If Mechy School cancels
Low enrollment. We need a minimum of 4 students to run a cohort. If we don't reach that number, we'll notify you at least 5 days before the start date and you'll receive a full refund, or the option to move your enrollment to the next cohort.
Cancelled sessions. If we have to cancel an individual session — weather, illness, or facility issues — we'll reschedule it. If a session can't be rescheduled, you'll receive a prorated credit for that session.
## Transfers between sections
You can switch between sections (for example, Mon/Wed to Tue/Thu) at no charge up to 3 days before the first session, subject to space.
## Transferring your spot
You may transfer your enrollment to another family before the course begins. Let us know the new student's name and your contact person, and we'll update our records.
## How to request a refund
Email [ming@mechyschool.com] with your order number and your student's name. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.
